2015-2016 | 39th Season Calendar

VISION RENEWED embodies Dallas Black Dance Theatre’s 39th season, filled with world and local premieres of fresh and innovative dance. DBDT opens its home season at the Dee and Charles Wyly Theatre in November with the Dallas premiere of Joffrey Ballet lifetime achievement award recipient Margo Sappington’s Step Out of Love. Dancers take flight in February in SMU Alum Jamal Story’s aerial ballet, a world premiere retelling the great epics of mythology. In May DBDT pays tribute to Bruce Wood® with his iconic RED, set to a score by Philip Glass, which explores American identity and perspective.
