If you loved last season’s aerial, What to Say? Notes on Echo and Narcissus, you won’t want to miss Jamal Story’s continuation of the story in this season’s Cultural Awareness performance. DBDT dancers again take to the sky as Story explores more myths from classic lore. DBDT celebrates Black History Month with the world premiere of a new piece by former Ailey Dancer, Kirven Douthit-Boyd, as well as some stunning works from the company repertoire. DBDT ALL ACCESS – Stay with us after the curtain closes for premium post-performance activities. Join us Friday for a Talkback with Choreographers and Saturday for an On-stage Dance Celebration.

Choreographer Jamal Story talks about the challenges of creating the aerial ballet The Parts They Left Out for DBDT Cultural Awareness.

Choreographer Jamal Story coaches DBDT dancer Hana Delong through the aerial move ‘The Drop’ while rehearsing the dance The Parts They Left Out.

Choreographer Jamal Story talks about why he used a Greek myth theme for the aerial ballet he created for The Parts They Left Out for DBDT.
