Let the good times roll…Or, laissez les bon temps rouler, as they say in New Orleans! The BIG Dance is a dance soirée worthy of the Big D.
Come kick off the summer with live music on multiple levels of the Wyly Theatre. Complimentary spirits and bites will fuel your groove. Look for group packages in November and single tickets in March.
This year’s theme will highlight the Big Easy with brass bands, New Orleans food, and of course, beads!
All proceeds from the new fundraiser benefit Dallas’ dance company.

Dallas Black Dance Theatre will transport revelers this year to New Orleans, a city rich with unique sounds, flavors, and traditions. The year’s theme epitomizes the BIG Easy, Let the Good Times Roll, and pays tribute to this singular American city influenced by so many cultural and historical lineages.
In addition to live music on multiple levels, this evening soiree features dance lessons, a costume contest, and competitive dance-offs. Patrons are free to explore the Wyly Theatre for entertainment, cuisine choices, signature cocktails, and of course dancing. Bands will celebrate the music of New Orleans, including high-energy brass bands and second line parade bands.
Patrons are encouraged to dress in festive cocktail attire, in the colors of Mardi Gras or other bright colors. All guests will receive a commemorative handkerchief to wave while dancing, and VIP guests will receive a commemorative second line umbrella. Masks are optional but may help with winning the costume contest!
