The stage comes alive with traditional and contemporary African dance, driven by the pulse of live drums and performances by Dallas Black Dance Theatre, DBDT: Encore, Dallas Black Dance Academy’s Allegro, Senior, and Junior Performing Ensembles, plus special guest artists Lancaster High School DC3, Notes of Transformation, and African drum and dance ensemble, Bandan Koro African Drum and Dance Ensemble.
After the performance, join in our beloved Bantaba tradition, a communal dance experience where dancers, drummers, and audience move together as one in a celebration that bridges cultures and generations in a single universal rhythm.

Bandan Koro African Drum and Dance Ensemble
A Dallas-based arts organization dedicated to educating and inspiring through African arts and culture. Founded in 2009 by Tony Browne, the ensemble brings together musicians, dancers, singers, storytellers, and educators to celebrate the cultural traditions of Africa and the African diaspora through dynamic performances and interactive learning experiences.
Lancaster High School DC3
This dynamic group of dancers serves as the Lancaster High School concert performing group that represents the Lancaster High School Dance Department in various capacities. The Ensemble was formed in 2007 and is currently under the direction of Ms. C. Wattley, LHS Dance Director.
Notes of Transformation
Under the direction of Pamela Dawson, 2023 Grammy Music Educator Of The Year. Upon winning the Grammy in 2023, Ms. Dawson realized her impact not only on her students but the community and the power of music. This was a significant catalyst for her to expand her reach and share the transformative power of music with a wider audiences.

Randy Clark’s newest exhibit, a thoughtfully curated collection that explores inspiration, creativity, and connection, will be on display in the lobby gallery throughout the weekend.
Randy Clark, Sr. is a photographer, lifelong missionary, and accomplished businessman whose enduring connection to Africa spans decades. Through his many journeys across the continent, he has experienced firsthand the richness of its cultures, the strength of its communities, and the beauty of its people. With a heart deeply rooted in the Motherland, Randy uses photography as a bridge between cultures, capturing images that tell stories of humanity, heritage, resilience, and connection.
