Bodies as Site of Faith and Protest by Tommie-Waheed Evans

Dynamic. Ravishing. Stunning.

Bodies as Site of Faith and Protest by choreographer Tommie-Waheed Evans transcribes Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s ‘We Shall Overcome’ speech into dance. This is the perfect setting to indulge in the best of Dallas Black Dance Theatre. Both DBDT and DBDT: Encore! perform with meticulous technique and artistry, crowd-pleasing season highlights in Fort Worth.

Cold is a duet choreographed by DBDT: Encore! dancer Floyd McLean, Jr. who is in sync with dancer Terrell Rogers, Jr. in this dynamic work.

DBDT: Encore! will perform the action-packed contemporary ballet Phoenix by Zach Law Ingram.

Face what’s facing you by Claude Alexander III is an honest, soul-stirring exploration of how challenges can make one victorious.
