One night. One stage. One path to both companies.

Experience breathtaking power, beauty and passion as Dallas Black Dance Theatre and DBDT: Encore! perform season highlights in Richardson––including an encore performance of Displaced, Yet Rebirthed that had Dallas audiences on their feet jammin’ to a live New Orleans style second line brass band. Dance, poetry and the Kickin’ Brass Band with Special Guest New Orleans’ own trumpeter Thaddeus Ford are used to honor the thirteenth-year-anniversary of Hurricane Katrina. Choreographer and Hurricane Katrina survivor Michelle N. Gibson weaves movement and traditions of New Orleans culture into the dance.
