Experience the fast-paced, highly energized work of Ray Mercer’s Undeviated Passage, where art imitates life. Mercer credits DBDT Founder Ann Williams with giving him his first professional choreography job 14 years ago. Mercer has performed with Disney’s Tony Award-winning production, The Lion King, for 16 years.

You have seen Claude Alexander III excel as a dancer for eight years, now he’s the choreographer in the world premiere of Face what’s facing you! The work is an honest, soul-stirring exploration of how challenges can make one victorious.

Dark Circles Contemporary Dance Artistic Director Joshua L. Peugh goes full-blown nostalgia in creating Rattletrap for his company which is the guest artist for the evening. You will get the feel of Peugh’s childhood growing up in small town USA. Peugh and Brandon Carson, who composed the original score, are SMU alumni.

How can an athletic dance and electronic score honor your grandmother’s soulful worship? You just have to experience Ulysses Dove’s Vespers through the emotions of the women of DBDT.
