PRESENTING SPONSOR

A time to embrace and celebrate cultures.

Dance, poetry and a brass band are used to reflect the 12-year anniversary of Hurricane Katrina in Displaced, Yet/Rebirth. Hurricane survivor Michelle N. Gibson uses choreographic artistry to weave movement and traditions of the rich New Orleans culture she calls home.

Set to traditional spirituals like “The Lord’s Prayer” and “His Eye on the Sparrow,” Dwight Rhoden’s Testament is a dynamic and complex work that pays tribute to Faith and Devotion.

CHOREOGRAPHER: Displaced, Yet/Rebirth – Michelle N. Gibson.
