DBDT: Encore! celebrates its 20th anniversary with bold, fearless artistry in two world premieres.

The triumphant struggle waged by women for equality. DBDT: Encore! Artistic Director Nycole Ray choreographs Nineteenth on the 100th anniversary of women’s suffrage that also encompasses wage equality and the glass ceiling.

The thrill of victory following a desert experience. The dance/choreographer duo, Derion Loman and Madison Olandt choreograph The Long Wait that captures the human spirit refusing to give up even when it can’t see the finish line.

The trials and tribulations of courtship. Choreographer Joshua L. Peugh restages his romantic comedy Slump. The Broad Street Review describes it as, “Movements are simultaneously strenuous and fluid, harsh and delicate, and amusing. Floppy. Flumpy. Slumpy.”
